Stone Barn Farm

Monroe County, Ohio

A Visit to Remember

Spending a few hours on Stone Barn Farm in the “Switzerland of Ohio” will increase your appreciation for the lifestyle of local farmers.

Our farm is located in an area where farms have remained in the same family’s ownership for well over a century. You will find our German Ridge Area to be a beautiful example of hill agriculture. The families are descendants of Swiss/German and Alsatian ancestors.

Guests are requested to schedule an appointment to visit to join us as we will explain the many unique aspects of Stone Barn Farm, and the workings of a farm with beef cattle, dairy goats, free range chickens, and the friendly appaloosa riding horse. Group tours are also available.

The stately stone barn and the farm home were handcrafted in the nineteenth century of native sandstone quarried .25 miles from their location here on our farm.

Guests are requested to sign our guest book. We will welcome you to join us as we explain the many unique aspects of Stone Barn Farm, and the workings of a farm with beef cattle, dairy goats, free range chickens, riding horses and the little pony.

Cattle are checked daily to make sure all is well. Eggs are gathered twice daily and prepared for customers. Goats are milked in season. Young kids are bottle fed to make them more friendly. If there is an abundance of milk home made cheese is the result.
